Structural Services
El-Mina has been providing inspection services since 1997. Our field personnel are skilled architects, engineers, general contractors or state-certified building inspectors with 10 to 30 years of experience. These seasoned professionals can substitute for County or City Building Inspectors ensuring that concrete pours, masonry grout and other critical path construction work can be scheduled at the client's convenience
Threshold Inspection
These services are provided on any building which is greater than three stories or 50 feet in height, or which has an assembly occupancy classification which exceeds 5,000 square feet in area and occupant content greater than 500 persons.
Special Inspections/structural inspection
Buildings that are not considered to be "Threshold" fall into this category. We can provide inspection services on the future building shell / envelope or just the individual components as required by the Building Department.
Concrete Restoration
We live in a region where the weather elements can wreak havoc on our oceanfront properties. The extreme heat, humidity and salty ocean breezes cause corrosion and deterioration to the envelope of the building, which can compromise its structural integrity. Our staff provides full concrete restoration inspection services on building facades and exterior balconies to quantify deficiencies, such as spalling concrete, corroded reinforcing or water intrusion. In addition to repair details, we supply full specifications to restore building damages
Condition Assessment
El-Mina Inc. has over 25 years of experience performing Structural Condition Assessments on various building types, including commercial and residential properties, and small bridges. The purpose of these assessments is to determine the general condition of the structure(s), repairs, replacement and significant maintenance items that should be performed. A professional structural engineer is the most qualified person to assess your property to determine the severity of distress and / or deterioration.
